Ever bought a tasty treat or snack and found that it looked nothing like it does on the packaging? We all have at one time or another, but this incident of a poppy seed roll takes the cake!

While you can expect your treat to differ slightly in appearance, this person bit into their roll only to find that it contained almost no poppy seeds at all. It’d do better at the bottom of the trash can – where it belongs.

Listening to music while cooking or baking is a great way to relax. Thanks to a few great advancements in technology, wireless earbuds are now available and make listening to your favorite music that much easier.

Unfortunately for this person, their wireless earbuds decided to do a bit of a disappearing act and fell out of their ears and into the oven. We don’t know what’s worse – the smell of the melting plastic or the cost of replacing these rather expensive iPhone accessories.

Picture this: You wake up craving eggs for breakfast and sleepily stumble to the kitchen to make yourself a meal fit for a king (or queen). But, when you crack your egg, all is not as it seems and you get a little more than you bargained for.

This poor soul was more than shocked to discover an alien lifeforce in their egg, leaving them wondering if aliens invaded their kitchen or if the eggs were delivered by a UFO rather than a farmer. Hmmm… Seems like a case for the X-Files!

We can all agree that there’s nothing more refreshing than an ice-cold soda in a glass bottle to quench your thirst on a hot day. From the moment you open the cap to that first sip, that feeling is almost euphoric.

But, and there’s always a but, something can come along and ruin that moment. And for this poor man, that moment came when his bottle snapped off at the neck. Do you risk taking a sip and swallowing a stray piece of glass, or do you throw the whole thing away and try again?

Traveling is a great way to see the world, but it does come with its fair share of mishaps. From lost luggage to misplaced boarding passes, seasoned travelers have experienced it all. This airplane passenger must have thought he was going bonkers when he spotted something on the runway.

Lying in the middle of the tarmac was another passenger’s luggage that fell out of the luggage train, leaving some unsuspecting soul without their luggage as the plane took off. Let’s hope they were able to get their luggage back safely!

We’ll chalk this one up to her being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We’d like to offer our deepest sympathies for her rather unfortunate accident.

Have you ever arrived at a concert hall or sporting arena to find that the seats you booked are worse than you could’ve imagined? This guy did as he discovered that not only did he book a bad seat, but he wouldn’t be able to watch the game at all!

Paying $50 for his ticket, his seat was located slap bang behind a pillar, completely blocking his view of the field in front of him. That’s some bad luck for you, friend! We hope that you got to change seats and enjoy the game.

Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, so it’s vitally important to eat a good hearty meal to kickstart your metabolism and start the day off right. This person clearly took the idea of a balanced diet a bit too far when they included a bat in their cereal.

Okay, okay, we’re just kidding. This poor soul was merrily eating their cereal when a bat flew into them and then landed in their bowl. All we can say is, “Yuck!” This is where we put our bowls down and walk away.

What on Earth possessed this person to use a large steak knife to remove whatever was in the jar? A butter knife is the most obvious utensil to use to gather your favorite spread to put on your sandwich. Clearly, this person was in a hurry and they just grabbed the knife closest to them.

Now, not only do they not have any spread for their sandwich, but they dirtied a knife for no reason. This creates more mess that they’ll inevitably have to clean up later. Oh, and the jar needs to be tossed away, too.

One of the best things about winter has to be the snow and the possibility of a snow day. What could be better than waking up to a blanket of fresh snow on the ground and that crisp, fresh feeling of winter setting in?

Well, for this person, the snow might have been a bit too much, as they opened their front door to find that the snow was piled six feet high, essentially trapping them inside their own home for a forced snow day.

Plumbing issues can quickly end up costing a fortune to repair, so when we saw this photo of a completely broken toilet, we shuddered to think of just how much this would cost to fix. This is anything but a small crack, as the whole bowl is broken in half.

It does lead us to wonder just what went on in this house that resulted in a broken toilet, but we guess we’ll never know the truth. All we can say is that we hope the repairs weren’t too expensive and that they were done quickly.

This picture will have you feeling like you traveled back in time and straight back to the cafeteria lunches at school. In an attempt to promote a healthy, balanced diet, schools would provide little cartons of milk to all students at lunchtime.

This student, however, discovered a whole new life force growing inside their milk upon opening it, instantly making them dislike milk for the rest of their lives. Do you have any cringe school lunch moments that still haunt you?

Have you ever taken out the trash only to have the bag split and its contents spilled out onto the floor? That’s exactly what happened to this poor person when their compost bag split, leaving their kitchen floor covered in old vegetable peels and coffee grounds.

We’d hate to be the one that has to clean up this mess! We suggest that you keep your compost bag outside or use a stronger bag in your compost bin. Good luck cleaning up that horrible mess!

Did you know that children’s playground sets have a weight limit for a reason? It might seem odd that they don’t allow adults to throw their cares to the wind and enjoy a merry old time on the swing, but rules are rules and they’re there for a reason.

This man clearly ignored the weight limits when he decided to swing and ended up breaking the entire frame. It seems his day went from bad to worse, as he now has to explain to his poor kids why they can’t enjoy their swingset anymore.

Let’s be honest, we all know that most airlines don’t have enough legroom to be completely comfortable. But we all make do with the space we have and take comfort in knowing that we’re all in the same situation.

Everyone, that is, except for this selfish person who felt the need to place their probably stinky feet on the armrests of the seat in front of them. Imagine sitting next to that for the rest of the flight!

There’s truly nothing better than a delicious roast potato for dinner at the end of a truly horrible day. Crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside, a roast potato is a great meal on its own or as a side dish.

But, this potato belongs nowhere else but the trash can. After a full hour of roasting their potato, this unsuspecting cook cut open her potato only for it to be completely rotten on the inside. We suggest they toss it in the trash and call for a pizza because there’s no coming back from this.

The sun can be pretty harsh in summer, but did you know that it has the power to melt a keyboard? Yup, we didn’t know it was possible either until we saw this next picture making its way around the internet.

This is what happens when you happen to leave your keyboard in a sunny spot on your desk… The sun’s rays reflect through the glass and act like a magnifying glass, melting whatever is in its path. For this poor computer owner, it just happened to be the keyboard.

No matter how much you try and no matter how many safety measures you put in place, it just doesn’t seem to be enough. Having left only a gap in the car window for some fresh air, this vehicle owner returned to their car to find a nasty surprise.

While the gap in the window couldn’t have been more than a few inches, a bird somehow managed to still do its business on their seat, right where they need to sit. If this wasn’t so frustrating, we might have been impressed with this bird’s obvious skill.

This woman is clearly having a bad day at work. We’re guessing she works in the paint department of her local hardware store and suffered a paint-mixing-related accident as she ended up covered in some bright yellow paint.

While we’re intrigued as to who’d choose this rather bright color, we can’t help but feel sorry for this girl as she has to explain this incident to her boss and possibly face a whole new string of funny nicknames that we’re sure will come from this incident.

Are you heavy-handed when it comes to seasoning your food, or are you the less-is-more type? We’re pretty sure this person is the latter. Well, they were, anyway, before their pepper grinder broke, spilling pepper all over their dinner.

The only silver lining of this unfortunate incident is that the chicken is raw, so the person cooking it could try and wash off as much of the spice as possible before popping it in the oven. Let’s hope they did!

Apple introduced its latest headphone technology in 2016 when it launched its wireless creation AirPods. With a hefty price tag and the ability to get lost, AirPods is one of those things that not everyone should own.

This Apple user lost their AirPods a good few years back and later found that they’d fallen onto the panel beneath their desk chair, just out of sight. This is a facepalm moment for sure, but we’re pretty certain that this wouldn’t have happened with a regular set of headphones.

No one likes the time-consuming and tedious task of folding laundry, so we’re betting that this rather boring job suddenly became more exciting when the person folding their clothes thought a roach had made its home in their sweater.

Upon closer inspection, however, they were able to establish that it was nothing more than a frayed tag. But we’re guessing they’re wide awake and pretty alert after this unfortunate incident.

Why, oh why, does this always tend to happen when you’re absolutely starving and really want a snack to make you feel better? All this poor person wanted was a snack from the vending machine to satisfy their craving.

The vending machine, however, had other plans and wouldn’t dispense the snack. It seems that this hungry person tried more than once, leaving them a few bucks short and with nothing to show for it. Clearly, this is just another one of life’s little frustrations.

This picture should serve as a warning to never ever fall asleep while preparing dinner or a snack. While we can only imagine how bad the smell must have been, we’d hate to be the ones that has to clean that pot!

Mac and cheese is a staple food for many, but this mishap is sure to put anyone off the delicious pasta for life, after waking up to their kitchen filled with smoke and a black pot that’ll probably never be the same again.

In today’s episode of ‘You Had One Job,’ we bring you this nightmare of a drinking straw stapled to the takeout bag. Why, no, fast food restaurant. We were not planning to drink our drink through the straw that you provided.

This is another one of those frustrating things that we have all have to deal with at least once, and it’s enough to make you want to throw your food away as you wonder what you did to upset the person who has prepared and packed your meal to go.

Do you collect cards? Be it baseball cards, Pokemon cards, or even Marvel trading cards, card collecting is a popular hobby that sees millions of people around the world scrambling to complete their card collections and storing them in plastic binders for easy viewing.

This collector, however, probably cursed everyone and everything around him when he tripped and spilled his collection all over the floor. We can only imagine how long it must have taken him to categorize and sort the collection.

Kitchen cabinets are meant to last about a lifetime, right? In this case, they didn’t. They came crashing down, spilling piles of dishes onto the floor. This created a lovely mess that someone has to be sorted and cleaned up.

We don’t know who we feel worse for- the person who has to clean up the mess? Or the one that has to re-mount these cabinets and ensure that they last this time? Either way, we’re pretty glad it’s not us!

Ah, glitter – a favorite of kindergarteners, teachers, and crafters alike, glitter is a staple in any arts and crafts corner. While glitter is great for adding some sparkle to a card, it’s a nightmare to clean up, especially when spilled on the floor.

This poor person found that out the hard way when they dropped a jar of glitter on the floor, smashing it and dispersing the glitter into every nook and cranny in the room. There’s not much we can say except to wish them luck, because they’ll be finding glitter flakes for years to come.

Household items and furnishings are just not made like they used to be made. This faucet is just another example of how things have changed in design and durability over time. All this woman wanted to do was rinse her sink when her entire faucet snapped off!

While faucets are relatively cheap to replace, it’s the effort and frustration that causes the most upset. But, there’s some light at the end of the tunnel. Now she gets a shiny new faucet for her kitchen!

We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that this person realized they should’ve asked for a lid while transporting two tubs of what looks to be paint. But it could very well be a catering-sized tub of mayonnaise instead.

One wrong move or one sudden stop, and their day is now completely ruined. Now they have to figure out a way to clean this horrible mess from the back of their vehicle. We’re just happy it’s not us, but we have sympathy for them and wouldn’t wish this on our worst enemy.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you put plastic, say, a pair of sandals, next to a heater for a prolonged period of time? Well, wonder no more, because this person did exactly that and was kind enough to share the results.

While we’re sure it was by accident, we’re grateful that this happened to them and not us, as we’d hate to be missing a sandal come summer. Perhaps they could use the other one as a fly swatter?

Did this BMW owner take it too far trying to outdo his friends with a rather spectacular hood ornament? Or did this real-life cow decide to make this car’s hood its new bed?

Imagine heading out to your car to go to work and coming across this sight! We don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the thought. We’re quite intrigued as to how the owner of this vehicle dealt with this little debacle.

Coffee isn’t only a delicious drink but a necessity for some people, so we can only imagine how this poor soul felt when they spilled their entire cup of coffee on the floor. Oh, the horror of losing that sweet, sweet flavor!

There is, however, a very small saving grace in the fact that the cup remained completely intact. But, at this point, we’d banish the cup to the trash, too, out of pure frustration and anger at having to make another cup of coffee.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and the food you received didn’t look how it should? That’s just what happened to this man as he received his food.

That’s barely enough meat to even be considered a hamburger! This sad meal is something we wouldn’t wish on our worst enemy, especially when the rest of the meal looks so delicious. We’d definitely send this one back to the kitchen. Would you?

We’re pretty sure that eggs belong in a pan and not on the floor. However, we can see this was purely an accident and must have occurred when the person opened their fridge and saw their eggs falling to the floor, one by one.

With the cost of a carton of eggs being what it is, the person probably had to take out a mortgage to replace their eggs. Maybe next time they’ll pack their fridge better to avoid this catastrophic loss.

This poor man clearly got the raw end of the deal when he poured his favorite cereal. He found that someone had eaten all the marshmallows, leaving him with just the dry cereal. Lucky Charms is an exceptionally popular cereal, but it’s clear that this guy’s luck ran out.

His wife was behind this rather dry (get it?) joke and had eaten the marshmallows as a late-night snack. Hmmm… We think a bit of payback is in order, as he’s now faced with eating this colorless breakfast.

Glassware is great for holding your favorite snack, but it also has the tendency to break at the worst possible times. This person found that out when the bottom of their glass broke and spilled its contents all over their bed.

While we could give them a few helpful tips about not eating in bed, we’ll save them the lecture, as they’ll be cursing themselves while they clean up this horrible mess and then go on to make themselves another snack.

Do you love DIY jobs that see you changing up your home with a coat of paint or a new item of decor? Whatever you do, remember to take care when preparing to paint, and lay down a few tarps to catch those spills and splatters.

This poor soul should have done just that to avoid this disaster from occurring. Though they certainly didn’t plan for it to happen, they didn’t prepare properly either, causing a great big mess that will take many hours and a few hundred dollars to clean.

Ever heard the expression, ‘the wheels have come off?’ It’s usually used to describe a situation in which something unexpected has happened and generally expresses a lack of control over something or someone. We know we’ve used the saying more than once.

This right here, folks, is an accurate and quite literal representation of this saying, and one that we’re sure isn’t going to end up well for this biker, as he realizes the wheels have quite literally come off of his quad bike.

A plunger is a pretty useful tool to have around the house to help you deal with blocked drains or sinks. It can even be used to help unblock larger drains, as is seen in this picture of a uniformed man tackling a rather nasty blockage with his trusty plunger.

There are a few things that come to mind when you first look at this picture. For example, how did it get so bad? Why did it suddenly become this poor man’s task to fix this smelly problem? We definitely need to know the answers! But, for now, we’re just happy that it isn’t us having to unblock that drain.

Awww, this poor pup got his head stuck in a fishbowl! Was he trying to go fishing? Did he think it’d make a nice hat? Whatever happened here, someone needs to get this doggo to the vet! Maybe he’ll learn his lesson and be a bit more careful in the future.

However, this is a dog we’re talking about, so it’s unlikely. It’s probably a better idea for this family to keep stuff like that out of their fur baby’s reach.

Imagine getting home after a long day of work, excited to change into your sweatpants and relax in front of the TV, just for this to happen. This poor person’s key broke in the lock, so they’re certainly not getting into their house anytime soon.

Now, they’ll have to wait for a locksmith to come, fish the broken key bits out, and get a new key made. It looks like this person is staying in a hotel tonight!

As if being snowed in wasn’t bad enough, this tree decided to further prevent this vehicle owner from going anywhere by conveniently shedding a large branch onto the car’s roof, trapping the car underneath its many branches. Why, Mother Nature, Why?!

This, of course, only tends to happen on those days when you’re in a hurry or have a meeting to get to, adding to your frustration and leaving you thinking that you wouldn’t wish this on your worst enemy.

If you’ve ever lost a bag when traveling, you’ll sympathize with this poor soul who traveled to the other side of the country only to be told that his backpack was left behind at the departing airport’s luggage hold.

Tracking his bag via an electronic tag, the traveler was able to locate his luggage and report it to the airline. Fingers crossed that it was sent on the next available flight because we can’t imagine traveling with no clothes and personal hygiene products!

We’re pretty sure that the owner of this vehicle wouldn’t have parked their car outside knowing they’d be caught in a snowstorm that’d bury their vehicle entirely. Well, we hope not, because then we would have no sympathy for them.

Sometimes, bad things happen to good people, and this picture captures that saying perfectly. Maybe next time, they should check the weather forecast or at least park their car somewhere undercover to avoid this dilemma and save themselves the hassle of freeing their vehicle.
